Aerial Lift Training Overview
F.A.S.T. Rescue provides Aerial Lift Training to ensure workers across Canada are well-prepared to safely operate aerial lifts, such as boom lifts and scissor lifts. Our course meets the requirements set out by relevant provincial and national regulations.
This comprehensive training program equips workers with the knowledge to prevent workplace injuries and accidents by focusing on the proper operation and inspection of aerial lifts.
Whether you’re new to working with aerial lifts or looking to refresh your skills, this course is designed to enhance your safety and operational confidence.
Course Content
Our Aerial Lift Training covers both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including:
- Legislation and Regulations: Learn the key laws and safety regulations that govern the use of aerial lifts in Canada, ensuring compliance with provincial standards.
- Types of Aerial Lifts and Their Applications: Understand the various types of aerial lifts, such as boom lifts and scissor lifts, along with their specific uses and limitations.
- Inspection and Setup Procedures: Learn the correct procedures for inspecting aerial lifts prior to use, including safety checks, setup, and pre-operational inspection.
- Safe Operation: Gain the skills necessary to safely operate an aerial lift, including using controls, maintaining stability, and recognizing common hazards.
- Emergency Preparedness: Training on how to respond to emergencies, including equipment malfunctions and the safe evacuation of workers from aerial platforms.
- Fall Protection: Comprehensive instruction on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including harnesses and lanyards, to prevent falls from height.
Practical Component
In addition to classroom instruction, participants will engage in hands-on exercises to demonstrate their understanding of aerial lift operations.
The practical component ensures that workers are fully prepared to operate lifts safely and effectively in real-world scenarios.
CERTIFICATION
After successfully completing this training session, participants will receive a certificate confirming their training.
