What Is the First Responder Course?
The Canadian Red Cross First Responder course is a professional-level, 40-hour pre-hospital care and emergency response program. It is the highest-level Red Cross certification available to the public and is designed for individuals who are, or want to become, professional first responders.
At F.A.S.T. Rescue, we are a Canadian Red Cross authorized provider with over 25 years of WSIB-approved workplace safety training experience. Our First Responder course covers the full Red Cross curriculum, includes the most current first aid and CPR guidelines, and meets federal regulations and a wide range of provincial and territorial requirements for Advanced First Aid across Canada.
You will learn how to assess patients, sustain life, prevent further injury, and provide professional-level care for medical and trauma emergencies before the next level of medical personnel arrives.
First Responder certification is valid for 3 years and includes CPR Level HCP and Automated External Defibrillation (AED).
