Operating a mobile crane requires both skill and a thorough understanding of safety protocols. F.A.S.T. Rescue’s Mobile Crane Operation Training ensures that workers are equipped with the knowledge and practical skills to safely operate mobile cranes in compliance with Ontario’s safety regulations. This comprehensive training focuses on the proper use, inspection, and maintenance of mobile cranes, helping to prevent accidents and injuries on the job site.

Participants will gain hands-on experience with crane operation while learning about load management, rigging techniques, and emergency procedures. This course is essential for individuals who operate mobile cranes in construction, industrial settings, or other sectors where cranes are regularly used.

Course Content

Our Mobile Crane Operation Training includes the following key topics:

• Legislation and Regulations: Understand the relevant laws and safety standards that apply to mobile crane operations in Ontario, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Crane Components and Operations: Learn about the different types of mobile cranes, their components, and how they operate, ensuring safe and efficient use.
• Load Management: Gain practical knowledge of load handling, weight distribution, and how to properly calculate load capacities to prevent overloading and tipping.
• Rigging Techniques: Learn how to safely rig loads using appropriate rigging equipment and techniques to ensure secure lifting.
• Pre-Operational Inspections: Understand the importance of daily crane inspections and how to identify any mechanical issues or hazards before starting operations.
• Emergency Procedures: Learn how to respond to emergencies such as equipment failure or accidents during crane operations.

Certification and Requirements

• Duration: Typically 1-2 days, including both classroom instruction and hands-on training.
• Completion Requirements: Full attendance and successful completion of written and practical assessments.
• Certification: Participants will receive a Mobile Crane Operator certificate upon successful completion, valid for three years.
