Supervisor Due Diligence Training Overview
Supervisors have a legal responsibility to ensure the safety of their team and to comply with Ontario’s occupational health and safety regulations. F.A.S.T. Rescue’s Supervisor Due Diligence Training provides supervisors with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage workplace safety, prevent incidents, and fulfill their legal obligations.
This course is designed to ensure that supervisors understand how to exercise due diligence, which includes recognizing hazards, implementing controls, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
By the end of this course, supervisors will have the confidence to take proactive steps to safeguard workers and avoid liability for health and safety violations. This training is ideal for supervisors across various industries, providing them with the tools needed to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.
Course Content
Our Supervisor Due Diligence Training covers the following key topics:
- Legal Responsibilities of Supervisors: Understand the obligations set out by the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and other applicable laws in Ontario.
- Due Diligence in Action: Learn how to demonstrate due diligence through proactive hazard identification, risk management, and the implementation of safety programs.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: Gain skills to report and investigate workplace incidents, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
- Workplace Inspections: Understand the importance of conducting regular workplace inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Communication and Leadership: Develop the ability to effectively communicate safety expectations and lead a culture of safety awareness within your team.
Certification and Requirements
- Duration: 4-6 hours of in-class or online training.
- Completion Requirements: Full attendance and successful completion of assessments.
- Certification: Participants will receive a certificate of completion, demonstrating their understanding of due diligence and legal responsibilities as a supervisor.
