Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Training Overview
F.A.S.T. Rescue offers private workplace training courses across Canada. Our Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Training provides participants with essential knowledge and practical skills for safe operation of EWPs in compliance with current legislation.
This comprehensive program is designed to give workers a solid understanding of EWP operation, safety regulations, and hazard management. Whether you’re working with scissor lifts, boom lifts, or other aerial platforms, this course ensures that participants can confidently operate equipment while minimizing risks.
Course Content
Our EWP Training covers both theoretical and practical aspects, including:
- Legislation and Regulations: A detailed review of relevant laws and safety regulations for operating elevated work platforms.
- Types, Limitations, and Hazards: Understand the different types of EWPs, their limitations, and the potential hazards they present in various working environments.
- Setup, Inspection, and Operation: Learn how to properly set up, inspect, and safely operate EWPs, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Emergency Response: Training on handling emergency situations effectively, including rescue procedures and safe evacuation from elevated platforms.
Practical Component
The hands-on portion of this course will evaluate participants on their ability to apply what they’ve learned in real-life scenarios.
Trainees will perform practical exercises to demonstrate proper setup, safe operation, and emergency handling, ensuring they are fully prepared for working with EWPs in the field.
CERTIFICATION
After successfully completing this training session, participants will receive a certificate confirming their training.
