Designed for individuals assigned as Fire Wardens, Floor Wardens, Area Wardens, Sweepers, or members of an emergency response team, this course covers the structure and responsibilities of a Fire Warden program, emergency preparedness, life safety systems, evacuation procedures, and emergency communications. Participants will learn how to identify fire and life safety hazards, understand fire alarm systems, manage assembly areas, assist persons requiring support, and coordinate with emergency responders.

The course also explores a wide range of emergency situations that may require Fire Warden activation, including fires, severe weather, flooding, earthquakes, power outages, hazardous material incidents, active threats, and other workplace emergencies. Learners will gain an understanding of evacuation and defend-in-place procedures, fire behaviour, smoke hazards, fire extinguisher classifications, and the importance of conducting effective drills and post-incident reviews.
